In an emergency
- Alert everyone in the apartment. Leave immediately.
- Close doors behind you. Don't stop for belongings.
- Exit the front door and follow the common corridor to the fire stairs, beside the lift.
- Never use the lift. Go down the stairs to ground level and out to Military Road.
- Go to the assembly area and call 000.
- Download the free Emergency+ app — it gives 000 your exact GPS location.
ASSEMBLY AREA
The front of the building on Military Road — cross to the opposite footpath, clear of the building and driveway. Wait there for emergency services.
IN THE APARTMENT
Fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen. Smoke alarms are interconnected. Only use the extinguisher or blanket on a very small fire, and only if it is safe to do so — if in doubt, evacuate.
